It’s an empty feeling of worthlessness; a silent pain.
A pain that lingers quietly around every thought, tainting them with a dark reality; you don't matter.
You long for a different truth.
You search for ways to convince yourself of something different but the *seed of deception has been planted, its roots have bored into your being and although you long to be freed from its painful reality, it continues to grow.
You seek out worth from measures that leave you feeling of lesser worth. Measures that instead of silencing your pain, make it unbearably louder.
Where is your refuge?
You try to make new truths but the familiar voices remind you of the lie you cannot hide from; you don’t matter
The devil is the author of your worthless lies and those lies are not your story.
Your story says You are a child of God. You are of great worth. You are cherished.
"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." Ephesians 2:10
1-God considers you His Masterpiece. A Masterpiece that He created ... of great worth.
2-God has made all things new for you. The past is the past and today is a fresh, new start. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
3-God has a plan for your life. You have a purpose.
The enemy would have you believe that you don't matter. That you are a nobody; worthless. This scripture clearly states otherwise:
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well … all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:1-16
Believe you are cherished. Believe you are deeply loved. Stand on God’s truths. Proclaim what God’s Word says about you, not what the enemy’s lies say about you. Do not be pulled back into the sway to the enemy's lies. The bible tells us the devil is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44). That we are to resist the enemy; to stand firm in the faith (1 Peter:8-9).
How do you fight against the enemy’s lies?
Recognize the lies. Know they are not the truth. Stop giving them a place in your story, they are not your story (you just read your true story).
Speak words of truth and affirmation over your life.
Speak the Word of God over your life. Claim His word; own it!
Meditate on scriptures; fill your mind with God's word.
Connect with God. Converse with God daily; talk to Him.
Take authority over the enemy. Take back the reign you have given him in your life.
As Christians, we have been given authority to overcome all the power of the enemy. (Luke 10:19) This means we can also take authority over the enemy and his constant torment of lies and end them! We can be Victors in Christ!
What does ‘take authority’ look like?
Here is an example:
“Heavenly Father, I pray for the protection of the blood of Jesus over my mind, my soul and my being. Your scripture says **I have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Father, I claim that Power! I thank you for that Love! I claim that Sound Mind in Jesus name! I thank you and I praise you!
I take authority of the enemy in Jesus name! I command that you remove yourself with your lies and deceit in Jesus name! I am a child of the Living God! I stand on His truths! I rebuke your lies in Jesus name. AMEN!
Pray that prayer knowing that through Christ you have that authority, strength and power to fight the enemy! (Ephesians 6:10-17)
And be on guard constantly claiming that power, claiming what is rightfully yours.
You have a new story in Christ.
You are a VICTOR!
You are chosen!
You are of great worth!
You are the sum of truths your Heavenly Father says about you. And He says “you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”. (1 Peter 2:9)
Praying these words of truth and scriptures take root into your being and remain your story.
